Back in Taiwan, this is one of the funniest mis-translations of the Chinese language, I have ever seen. Enjoy! (Click on the picture to bring up a larger version)

Just about every line i could make out was unbelievable! They eat funny over there, don't they?

Yes, they do, but the crazy names disguise dishes that aren't really that exotic.

Your post made me so hungry and home sick! I miss "Windmill chafing dish" and "City sauce spare ribs"!

Was this material for a class? It seems like an odd choice because so many dishes simply don't translate. What's the point of translating the name of a dish instead of describing it?

No JC, it was just a restaurant that I went to with some friends. As usual, and unfortunately, there was little attention given to the quality of the English menu.

yeah, I know what you mean. I think I saw "Roasted Peasant" on a menu once.
